When asked to provide this reference for Monika Armstrong and Rebecca Armstrong from Culinarius by Monika, I did so without hesitation. Here are two businesswomen who own and manage one of the most respected businesses in the Illawarra, a business that in 2005 was named Illawarra Business of the Year adding to the list of illustrious Awards already under their belt.

Our business has worked with them on many occasions and no matter how large or small the event, they always provide outstanding food, service and customer care. They continually remain abreast of catering trends, educating themselves and their team continuously.

Notably we have contracted Culinarius by Monika for the Illawarra Tourism Awards when the event was held in a silk marquee on Blacks Beach, Kiama. With over 300 guests, a makeshift kitchen, an alternate drop three course menu and the involvement of TAFE students to assist as wait staff, they were not only challenged by the environment, but the number of stakeholders they had to manage.

Throughout it all they remained totally professional and consistent even when howling winds threatened to bring down the marquee in which they were preparing and plating food. Its one of the great strengths of their team and their business - the ability to work under pressure while ensuring the outcome is not impacted upon at all and a first class product is the end result.

In addition to the Illawarra Tourism Awards, we have engaged Culinarius to also provide catering for the Wollongong City Gallery's 25th Anniversary event, again in a challenging venue with 250 guests. Once again, a perfect night!

Over the last few years, Culinarius has become an extended member of our team and it is without hesitation we recommend Monika and Rebecca to our clients for boardroom lunches, cocktail parties, family celebrations and the like. They have never once let us or our clients down.

Monika and Rebecca bring to an event a 'can do' attitude yet remaining conscious of the event's parameters including its budget. They are both energetic, enthusiastic, intelligent, efficient, diligent, reliable and responsible individuals of fine character. They both possess high interpersonal and communication skills and are team players working closely with their clients to ensure a successful event. Hi Rebecca,

Just wanted to write to say thankyou again for the wonderful job you did with my husband's birthday last Saturday.

As mentioned to you on the phone, it was a wonderful relief to know that everything was being taken care of which left me free to be with our guests, some of whom we don't get to see that often now that we have moved to the South Coast.

The staff did their job with a minimum of fuss and were most unobtrusive.  They cleaned up and left everything spotless, placing leftovers wrapped and in the fridge.

The food was excellent with comments coming from everyone on the wonderful standard and presentation.

Your help with the organisation with hire of tables, chairs etc., balloons and the croquembouche was very much appreciated.  They, in turn, were very professional and helpful - delivering when they said they would on the day.  I would recommend them without hesitation.

We enjoyed the most successful Country Rugby League Dinner late last year and the majority of that success can be contributed to your co-ordination and the services provided by Culinarius by Monika.

To have a black tie function for nearly 500 people in the Wollongong Town Hall for the most influential figures in the game and to receive the accolades we did was something special and a memory I will cherish for some time.

The Event went without complaint, was within budget and as the customer I could not have asked for a better result.

It was only at last month Board Meeting of the Country Rugby League where several Directors were quizzing Management as to this year function and the precedent we set.

Alexandra Shaw: WIN Television: Network Publicity and Promotions Director

On December 17th 2004, WIN Television held it's annual Christmas party at the North Wollongong Surf Club. Guests comprised of WIN Corporations owner and Executive Chairman Mr Bruce Gordon, Deputy Chairman Andrew Gordon, the Gordon family, CEO George Papadopoulos, the senior executive team from WIN Television, BTS, DDA, WIN NBN Sales and WIN Television Wollongong, i98fm and c91.3fm staff, comprising a total of 170 guests.

Culinarius by Monika provided full catering and hospitality services for the night, greatly contributing to the immense success of the evening. The service was impeccable from beginning to end with hors d'oeuvres, main meals and dessert just as exceptional. Culinarius by Monika provided a full service for the night which extended beyond the actual catering, ensuring complete set up (crockery, cutlery, table cloths etc) was completely looked after from beginning to end.

The feedback surrounding the evening has been outstanding and we are thankful to Monika and the team at Culinarius for making the night such an outstanding success.

I recently organised a national book launch at the author's palatial Sydney harbourside home. She wanted everything to be perfect- particularly the catering. My first thought was to ask Monika Armstrong if Culinarius would be interested.

Culinarius did a wonderful job- great food and great service, with the warmth and friendliness of Monika and her staff adding an extra dimension to the occasion. Wollongong people take it from granted that Culinarius will do a great job- but Monika certainly won over a lot of new people in Sydney that day.

Culinarius has been our catering 'lifesaver' for years now. Our association began in the early 1990's with a themed corporate Christmas party. The catering reflected the theme and was a highlight of the night. Since then Monika and her expert team have catered for large and small functions, ranging from a small family gathering at home for my father's 80th to our son's wedding in 2002.

Our daughter-in law's family had experienced Monika's catering delights and after inspecting many venues we all decided Monika's catering was a must. Every detail was attended to and the food was exceptional. Our guests special dietary requests were handled with ease and the wonderful feedback from guests added to a memorable evening.

From large corporate functions to intimate family gatherings, Monika's team has taken the stress out of organising by suggesting menu's, catering for all requests and supplying mouth watering food every time.
